Sylvan partnered with a supplier in Mexico to deliver fabrication and mechanical installation services for High Bay Storage (HBS) Racks and IPF platforms—critical infrastructure supporting automotive production. Spanning nearly 40,000 sq. ft., the job demanded precision and adaptability. Sylvan’s scope of work included end-to-end fabrication and installation, executed to meet the customer’s quality standards and aggressive timeline.
A key challenge emerged from late-stage engineering changes and multiple design revisions from the client. Sylvan’s team responded with agility, managing manufacturing, logistics, and on-site execution to align with the owner’s final expectations.
Despite the evolving scope, the installation phase alone required over 13,000 manhours, reflecting the scale and intensity of the work. The project was completed on time, with quality benchmarks met across all deliverables. This effort highlights Sylvan’s ability to navigate complexity, maintain schedule integrity, and deliver high-performance solutions in dynamic environments.
As part of a multi-year modernization program at a 3M sq. ft. automotive assembly facility, Sylvan provided complete General Assembly conveyor and tooling upgrades, along with the installation of a new Robotic Wet 3 paint system.
