We’re delighted to announce a transformational milestone in Sylvan’s strategic expansion—one that significantly accelerates our vision to build the most advanced construction technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) native, multi-trade construction services platform in North America.
As of October 31, 2025, Sylvan has joined forces with Andy J. Egan Co. Inc., an industry-leading mechanical contractor headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI.
This partnership is a game-changer for our platform.
Egan has a remarkable 100+ year legacy of excellence, delivering mechanical installations on some of the Midwest’s largest and most complex projects across Data Centers, Advanced Manufacturing, Critical Energy, Healthcare, Industrial, and Commercial sectors.
Their team of over 600 skilled professionals exemplifies everything we value: a people-first culture, deep client relationships, and excellence in project execution. Egan’s expertise in design build, process piping, fabrication and project execution complements our capabilities, creating powerful synergies that will benefit all our clients across our platform.
The Jasper family, who built Egan into the powerhouse it is today, will remain actively involved as equity owners in Sylvan. Andy Jasper will continue leading Egan as President while also joining the Sylvan Group Executive Leadership Team, reporting to Robert Metz CEO, Sylvan.
Our Vision—And the Progress We’re Making
“In March 2025, when E-3 Tech, in partnership with Andreesen Horowitz (a16z), invested in Sylvan, we set an ambitious vision to help transform the US multi-trade construction services industry with access to transformative technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and strategic M&A growth” said Ruediger (Rudy) Adolf, Founder and CEO at E-3 Tech.
Just eight months later, we’re well on our way to delivering on that vision:
All these opportunities represent strategic, purposeful expansion that makes our entire platform stronger, delivers greater value to our clients and creates more opportunities for our colleagues.
“Egan has built an outstanding reputation on three pillars: technical expertise, trusted client relationships, and a people-first culture,” said Robert Metz, CEO of Sylvan. “This partnership represents a major step forward for both organizations as we unite to deliver unprecedented value to our clients while maintaining the high-performance standards that define us.”
Sylvan and Egan are positioned to take on the region’s most ambitious projects while continuing to rise above challenges and deliver lasting results for our clients, partners, and teams.
