BOSK EV Battery Manufacturing Facility

Sylvan was engaged to perform all mechanical process piping and sheet metal installation for a large‑scale battery manufacturing facility developed through a joint venture between a global automotive manufacturer and an international technology partner. The facility encompasses approximately 3.5 million square feet and is designed to support high‑volume battery production for next‑generation electric vehicles. Our scope included full coordination and construction of all mechanical process systems, requiring extensive collaboration across multiple design teams and global equipment suppliers. Key responsibilities involved coordinating designs among domestic and international stakeholders and supplying and installing all process‑related sheet metal ductwork and piping systems throughout the facility over a 24‑month construction duration.

The project was substantially completed in January 2025 following more than 1.2 million safe labor hours, reflecting a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and execution at scale. Our team managed a peak workforce of approximately 900 personnel, including both direct labor and subcontractors, while maintaining control over quality, scheduling, and logistical complexity. Based on Sylvan’s performance during construction, the customer selected our team as its trusted mechanical partner for ongoing maintenance and future projects, establishing a long‑term relationship built on successful delivery, effective coordination, and proven capability in advanced manufacturing environments.
